Kath Jonathan’s Poetry

Without You

I’ve loved you between these bars for too long.
Inside my cheek I’ve scratched a scar for you.
Soon I’ll forget your smooth white shoulder,
the blue café of you, your Babylon hunger on my tongue.
Lie down here; let me put my heel on you,
my stamp of resolution and regret.

Kath Jonathan considers herself fortunate to be writing, reading and teaching in Toronto.
